That was adorable on every level. And it was so nice to read somehthing happy for a change! Sirius and Regulus as children were incredibly cute and it was somehow fitting that Sirius managed to recognize that cuteness. Regulus and his unstable, pink, semi-animate snowman is the sort of thing that some artist, somewhere, needs to draw. (And, yes, that was a hint there, artists!)

I also love the little hint of foreshadowing there: “Sirius!” Regulus hugged the snowman in his attempt to save it. He was awful at playing the hero, and the only reason why the snowman did not break inside his embrace was Sirius’ compassion. He stopped wasting his snowballs on Regulus’ new best friend. Later, poor Regulus was rather successful at playing the hero, was he not? I liked that little bit there!

And the structure was just perfect. The way you connected the snow and the tea and Regulus, Sirius, and James was extremely effective.

Great job, Mystery Author.

Oh, thank you so much! I love showing a happier side of Sirius and Regulus once in a while, and there can't be a Marauder era fic without foreshadowing, right? :D

I actually regretted not letting an artist claim this prompt, it's perfect for art. *shrugs*

I loved the snow scene with Sirius and Regulus. It was so cute and sweet and brotherly. Then, you broke my heart at the end. Augh! Very nice.

Happy brother moments between them always make my heart break, too. At least I'm not alone now. :D Thanks very much!

I really enjoyed this piece. I always love seeing Sirius and Regulus as friends, so I was ecstatic that you spent the majority of this fic on that. I thought that you managed to capture the voice of the two children really well. You can really tell that Reg looks up to Sirius in this fic and that Sirius really cares about Reg. You can see the care through Sirius deciding to go inside and have tea because Reg is still unwell but Reg fearing that it's because Sirius has outgrown him. I loved Reg's pout after Sirius destroyed his snowman and Sirius' "I'm going to build you a new one ( ... )

Oh, I love James. I didn't mean to make him a complete prat, but hey, it's Sirius Black. Who would let him go? :D It makes me happy that you noticed that brother parallel and thought it worked. That thing goes so much deeper, imo, but I loved showing just a happy brother moment between Sirius and Regulus. They don't get enough of them.

Thank you so much!

I considered this prompt, too--I liked the idea of it--but I quite love what you've done with it. I really like stories that show Regulus and Sirius as friends before they're not, and I especially like when we see that it isn't easy for Sirius to lose a brother. The boys act like boys, though, especially James as a spoiled child, who wants his friend for himself. You structure this nicely and I really enjoyed it.

Oh, I would have been interested in your take on this prompt. :D The prompt just told me to use it for some fluffy stuff, because Sirius and Regulus don't get many happy brother moments.

Thank you so much for the review!

This was 1/3 adorable, 1/3 hilarious and 1/3 heartbreaking.
I really liked how you made Sirius growing up into something that wasn't all bad, how you made James seem like a sort of bad guy, but really he isn't - he just doesn't understand.
Your characters were very well developed, and I loved it :)

Just the right mixture of what I wanted, thank you so much! And I would never make James a real bad guy. I think he has a good heart, but is a bit... I love him, anyway. :D
