What I loved most about the opening of this piece is the vagueness with which Sirius and Regulus speak. It gives this sense of intimacy between them and sounds much like I imagine real brothers sound like when they're talking

I really liked your story. Sirius is my favorite character in the series and I think you created a very good portrait of him, I always imagine he would act like that as well. I particularly liked the part of the dinner parties: "Even counting rivets on the chandeliers was more interesting"... I just so Sirius! A lovely story!!

This is such a sad, brilliant vision of how the final falling out between two less-than-friendly brothers might have gone. What I really love is the way you capture the profoundly sick dynamic that defines the Black household, and what drives Regulus' decision to buy into it (and Sirius' not to). I can very much see how Sirius is genuinely sorry at how things have turned out - but also how he's at a point where, years later, Regulus can become "my idiot brother Regulus who joined the Death Eaters and got himself killed." Excellent work.
