Oh, this hurt. I hate to think of them fighting and breaking up and still wanting and needing each other so much, but I've seen people just like that. But I loved the last paragraph with the countdown that captures the feeling between them so well. Who says codependency is all that bad? Lovely, museme.

Thanks, hun! I hate the idea of the boys fight and using one another for physical needs as well. I think their brand of codependency isn't all that great for them, and I usually don't write about the unhealthy aspects of their relationship. However, this was beginning to be written, and honestly, this is more canon appropriate I'd say in comparison to most of my fic(or at least in my head, lol). :)

That part made me chuckle each time I read it.

And of course Sirius would be twatish enough to wear a gift Remus gave him. If I didn't know any better (and, actually, I don't know any better) I'd say he did it on purpose. Sneaky boy.

Aww, that was sad but sweet! I loved Sirius's nickname for Remus, Moonshine. The last paragraph was brilliant. *sigh* So melancholy but so well done!

Thanks, Gina! I usually don't do non-canon nicknames ("Siri" and "Remi" make my eye twitchy), but I've seen this nickname in a couple fics and sorta like it.

I can totally see them like this... young and scared and a little bit stupid, trying and failing and mistrusting. It makes sense, seeing what happened later.

Still, in my head (in all of our heads, I guess), there will always be a universe where they grew and learned, and are happily cuddled together enjoying the holidays and remembering the time when they used to be "such an idiot, Moony... really, how did you put up with me?"

Awww... Cute. Lots and lots of sad and cute. I hate lonely New Years count downs. I loved Remus' "When you sleep with a girl..." It's so honest and hilarious. I don't really see Sirius as a total slut, but I can't say I don't love that version of him. <3

Thank you, Maggy love! <3 I'm torn on the Sirius as a slut thing. I think he probably got around a bit at 14 or 15 when he was in the throws of puberty. In my head!canon, I do have him dating a girl for a year or so, one that he really likes but ends up breaking up with. And then he's with Remus for a very long time. But during the war, I think Sirius --or at least my Sirius-- gets a little reckless with his love life. :) At least that's how I justify it, lol.

Btw, your sister loved that line as well. <3
