At this point, I was really beginning to regret driving alone because myself and I were sharing some pretty damned interesting stories, like the one about the gay hillbillies in the truck next to me. I realize that I'd do the same thing with someone else in the car, but at least the conversation would be less predictable.
You make the design in pancake batter in the pan and let it cool for a few minutes and get dark, then you just pour batter over the design and voila! art!
Btw- there's this festival in Texas- the Kerrville music festival- that most of these folks go too. I was thinking of going next year, but it overlaps the 'roo. I said that I'd try to convince my travel buddy to maybe go there instead, but not till the lineup was released.
And yeah, I still owe you for the ticket. When will you be home for the holidays?
According to the festival's webpage, it ends the weekend before Bonnaroo, so there's no conflict there. Central Texas is a long, long-assed way away, though, I'm not sure I'd be up for driving quite that far (especially if we take my mom's minivan like we have to Bonnaroo the past two years - that's probably an entire oil change round-trip). We could fly, I guess, but that's expensive. I dunno. You're right, I do want to see the lineup first
( ... )
Looks like a blast - I'm glad you were able to go.
As for Waffle House, I myself am a Waffle House junkie. I happen to know there are at least 2 Maryland Waffle Houses - one in Buckeystown and one in Frederick. If you ever want to make a pilgrimage for a pecan waffle & hash browns scattered, smothered & covered, let me know ;-P
