There was a similar case here in the US. A hospital unplugged a woman from life support due to her inability to pay her bills. While her case was terminal, she was entirely conscious and aware of what was being done to her. Add the fact that they would not allow time for her mother to get here from Africa to be with her.... Shameful and disgusting.

You are, of course, correct--there is no way that these things should be permitted.

Bollocks. Yes, she should have been able to get treatment in Ghana, but that's beside the point. It was clear that she wouldn't be able to get treatment in Ghana, and she was still deported, and in effect condemned to death. There is no way we can say this is Ghana's fault.
