It was astolat and cesperanza's idea, actually! Which was an awesome coincidence because I'd been wanting to do fannish paper dolls but honestly, how many (utterly fabulous) outfits would Rodney really wear?
I am giggling way too much.shalaJuly 31 2006, 18:27:48 UTC
I wish I had a working printer. :(
But for now I will just look and go "EEEEE" because. Well.
YOU CAN MAKE HIM BE HOLDING LENA!!!!! And the tux . . . mmmm.
I love paper dolls. I had American Girl ones as a wee child. Also President Bush and First Lady Barbara Bush paper dolls. I don't actually know who gave them to me. Their grandchildren were there too. And a basket of puppies. (Did you ever play with kisekae dolls?)

I LOVE kisekae dolls. I used to play with them all the time, even after otakuworld went subscription-only. I still have a whole bunch on my computer I play with, although I lost the fantastic Victoria doll with the, like, sixty gorgeous, gorgeous shirts and twenty sets of pants and ten hairstyles and twenty types of makeup that was my FAVORITE and now it's a broken link on the website. :( LET'S TALK ABOUT KISS DOLLS. I LOVE THOSE THINGS AND I NEVER MEET ANYONE WHO KNOWS ABOUT THEM.
I love paper dolls so much, period. I remember playing with them when I was ten and with my cousin-who-foamed-at-the-mouth-when-asleep, as I've fondly named her in my head, and they were one of the best parts of that summer.

I was so annoyed when otakuworld went subscription-only! I understood why, of course, but I was about fifteen and there was no way I could get a subscription, you know? And of course my only income at the time was an allowance from my parents.
When I got my new computer, I even transferred all of my KISS dolls so I could play with them if I wanted. Half of them kind of suck, but the ones with a zillion outfits are so much fun to play with! I don't much, anymore, but they're there when I want 'em.
I definitely just got distracted from writing this comment by opening up FKISS and playing with some dolls. XD
I used to wish I could make the dolls, but I have a) no fashion sense, and b) no artistic skills whatsoever. I rock the stick figures, but that's about it.

I totally even made one but I didn't have the stamina to make any more after that. I bet it's still there on the page. It gave me access to Otakuworld for two months because people liked it and I downloaded as many KiSS dolls as I could find. :3
Oh man, back when I was in X-Files, we (we being my friend and I) even made a little Krycek one. He blinked and you could click to switch between a good arm and a, er, stump. We gave him miniature guns all modeled after real ones--a whole array of weaponry--that was a lot of fun. We never finished it though. :\
OMG -- I have just discovered that there are MAGNETIC SHEETS that can be printed in inkjet printers. I am going to have MAGNETIC CONQUEROR LEX. *squeezes some more*
