NEWS about the new movie

Thanks to TJ, her husband, we have news on the movie she's filmong and willbe out soon. Here they are directly from his words: "Yes Vicky just finished staring in a movie called 'Soda Springs'. It was filmed in and around Boise Idaho. She plays a character called Shelly, who runs a Feed Store (forfarm animals) in a small town. The lead character Eden, played by Jay Pickett - went to jail for a crime he didn't commit. When he gets out he returns to the small town that doesn't want him around anymore and falls in love with Shelly (Vicky). It's a story of redemption. It was low budget, but Vicky had a great time. Loved the cast and crew- and the small town atmosphere - of course Victoria comes from a very small farm town in Canada, so she could relate to everyone well."

SVFF: SODA SPRINGS (2012)-The Evening Class Interview With Jay Pickett
Monday, March 12, 2012

A classic narrative about fathers and sons, mentors, and guiding spirits, Soda Springs speaks to classic-nearly mythic-themes of sacrifice and redemption and is sure to be a crowd pleaser at its Lantern 1 screening on Saturday, March 17, 1:45PM
....
We didn't have an actress for the role of Shelly and there were a number of people we were considering because we wanted to get someone with a name for that role. I remember driving my truck from L.A. to Idaho while on the phone with Garry and Mike and agents. Whenever I had service, we were trying to cast this role because we were going to start shooting in two or three days. Before finally reaching Idaho, we had decided on Victoria Pratt. She couldn't have been better. We went off of her demo reel and what people said about her and then she showed up on set and she was so great and gracious and fun.

'Soda Springs' movie review
April 5, 2012 Daniel Delago

The inaugural Sun Valley Film Festival which took place March 15-18th was a success, in large part due to the Idaho-made films represented at the event. One indie film, in particular, ‘Soda Springs’ was a crowd favorite and took home the Audience Award.
....
Thanks to executive producer Jamer Roush, I was able to arrange an interview with the standout performance of the film, Victoria Pratt. She plays, Shelly who owns the local feed store and becomes the love interest of Eden.
....
Me - How did you get involved with the film, ‘Soda Springs?’
Victoria - My friend Miranda Frigon, who plays Eden’s ex-wife Pam in the film, told me about the role of Shelly and I got the part.

Me - The majority of ‘Soda Springs’ was shot in Idaho. I enjoyed watching the horseback riding sequences with you and Jay. Do you remember where that was shot?
Victoria - I’m not exactly sure of all the locations but I was staying in Boise and we would drive to these beautiful locations to film for the day. I think one of the locations was Emmett. By the way, I just want to say that I loved Boise. It’s a great town and reminded me of my hometown in Chelsey, Ontario Canada.

Me - Can you share any experiences on the movie set?
Victoria - One thing that really stands out for me is how friendly and accommodating the people of Idaho were during the filming. We were filming in a guy’s house and after the shoot, he grills some ribs for us and hands us a glass of wine. It was so nice. Another day, we were shooting at a bar and an extra said she would make us a cake. The next day, she shows up on the movie set with a delicious homemade cake.
