I- I- I-

I have no words for how much better your explanation for Kara is than canon. Your explanation for everything, in fact, up to and including why the hell the Five all came into awareness at the same time. I love how you had all the Earth Cylons actually be family. This makes Galen and Kara... cousins? Right? I got that correctly?

Also, I love your Ellen.

I'd really really need a drink if I was them too.

That's quite the little family tree, there! It does make sense and tie them together a lot more believably than the show ever bothered to.

Also? I love that you kept Hotdog's "Dead Chicks" line. Hee!

It's so much fun to see which scenes pop each time I read a version. This time, it was the Sam and Galen scene, how well it gets into both of their heads when they're ostensibly discussing Boomer. I also really love the understated tenderness of all the scenes with Bill and Laura, and I never caught the little humorous undercurrent of how their quiet evening at home keeps getting interrupted by visitors with increasingly bad and weird problems.

Thanks! I'm rather fond of that scene, so I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)

"How many dead chicks are out there?" Bill heard HotDog ask.

*snorfle* Oh, Hot Dog. I'd forgotten all about that line.

"Lead guitarist in 'Kara Thrace and Her Special Destiny'," Sam quipped.

OMG YES!

Kara is Ellen and Tigh's daughter? That is fantastically awesome! \o/

"The truth is, Laura, I don't even like it. I don't like having them on Galactica, I don't like having them tamper with the engines… and it galls me to no end to have one serving in the CIC."

Frak you, Bill Adama.

Sam and Kara playing pyramid is actually kind of adorable. And I like the callback to his "Daybreak" flashback about being able to see perfection.

"Helo's done a lot of things that I've questioned," Bill said. "But nothing is quite as bad as him giving Gaius Baltar his seat on that Raptor the day the Cylons bombed Caprica."

HA! I'm sure he regrets it, too.

Wow, I didn't expect that chapter to be so uplifting. But it was definitely needed after the heavy!

Thanks! :)

Yeah, the angel thing never sat well with me, because of the total "God Did It" then. I'm not crazy about Kara as a Cylon, either, but at the same time, making her a Tigh adds something a little unexpected. :)

I'm glad you enjoyed Sam and Kara- I had fun writing those scenes. I really like Sam.
