I used to take the bus in L.A., but it became far too dangerous, and after having been rescued by the police for the SECOND time, I no longer went anywhere I could not cadge a ride to and from. *sigh*

I ride the bus here in Wilmington all the time (I have panic attacks behind the wheel of a car, so I don't drive) but it's pretty much safe here. Only real problem is trying to make heads or tails of the routes and schedules since the re-did them last year. And that they've just upped the bus fare.

I hate the bus. UK bus drivers train especially so they drive really really fast for very short distances and then grind to a halt. They then do this over and over and over. I am usually green by the time I get to my destination. Also UK buses are never ever on time!
