This Year's Winter Cat

Dec 13, 2010 20:40

So, every year I seem to adopt a cat, not because I need another one but because I am too soft-hearted to leave them out to die. Contrary to popular belief, cats (and dogs) are not able to "fend for themselves" in the wild. They are called domesticated for a reason.  I am not talking about outdoor cats that live on a farm and are taken care of but ( Read more... )

See that just pisses me off about pet owners who don't give a shit about their animals ...

I know it sucks but really I had to in March put Bella down and it KILLED me to do it. I knew she was really sick and there was nothing to cure her, she had cancer ...

*hugs* It shows you are a good and caring person, it will suck but it is what is best to end the suffering of the poor animal TT_TT

Yes, I can't stand to see an animal suffer. I don't like taking their little lives but better that than prolonged suffering!!

See that is why I give to animal organizations ALL the time. I always donate everytime I go to PetSmart, etc. Tonight I bought Cane's, local chicken tender restaurant, and if you buy a plushie pup the proceeds go to the local animal shelters, so I bought a pup ^_^

You're a good person, at least the cat will have someone who cares at the end. Last year there were so many kittens around here we were catching them and taking them to a vet we know who puts them up for adoption, this includes my Ling kitten I didn't get to keep. I wish I had a big enough place for all the cats we find.

I love you for helping the poor cats.

And I love you for helping them too! I wish I either had more room or lived in the country and had a barn so I could just have a colony of (fixed) ferals so those wild kitties would have a place to go!

I hope I can find the kitty. I didn't see him today but I put food out just in case. I am going to call the vet today to see about a live trap.

I remind the jerks I live with daily how much I love them and how lucky they are!
