Okay, for starters can I just say that this man is clearly the lowest of the low to do this on this particular day. I'm assuming that he knows what day it is and to do this to you today is not just juvenile, it's purposely hurtful and vindictive. So fuck him and the horse he rode in on ( ... )

I took your advice about blocking him to heart. I contacted Facebook, blocked him on every other application I am aware that we have in common, and sent him a fairly formal cease-and-desist warning. I don't like the way he thinks I should be his punching bag, and I think you're right. Stressing over his inability to deal with his life like a man is only going to piss me off and take all the energy I should be focusing on positive things ( ... )

Good for you. That's being nicely proactive!

He is a bug. I'm happier, and healthier, and doing SO much better for myself without him.

He IS a bug. Look at it this way -- his cheating actually saved you from still being with him. You are clearly better without him because you're really seeing what he is made of now.

How's Jess doing? The infection all battled back yet? I remember you posting something about secondary infection, which REALLY bites, especially with school.

She's doing better now and the swelling seems to be almost all gone. She had a week on Clindamycin and a horrible oral rinse (according to her). Now comes the real test -- did we get it all or will it be back in 2 weeks? Time will tell...

I decided sending a copy of what he sent me to my stepmom was also a good idea. Right now, I'm content to let this all go with the knowledge that HE is in the wrong. In case he contacts me again, though... She has a copy for the family lawyer, just in case he escalates this, as he's wont to do when he feels slighted.

And I know that oral rinse -- they put me on it right away. It's supposed to taste like mint. Big lie. Tastes like a cross between bad gum and toothpaste. And I hope she was okay on the clindamycin -- I know a few people on it who got some pretty bad upset stomaches. Here's hoping it worked!
