I think that the media hypes this crap up but I think the tide is turning where the courts are making people accept responsibility for their actions regardless of a bad childhood/marriage etc..

At least I hope so! Someone needs to speak for the victims. Lots of people have extremely hard lives and don't kill people. It's time to court sees that and quit giving people as pass because they didn't get what they wanted/expected out of life and therefore took it out on others.
