President Bush asks Congress to reject proposal that would official declare killing of up to 1.5 million Armenians around the time of World War I genocide.

Mr. Bush makes no argument that there isn't enough evidence to support the claim of genocide- most people will acknowledge that what happened was a systematic execution of the Armenian people

I personally feel we shouldn't crap on anyone else's biscuits since we still have not admitted to our own genocide of the Natives of this continent...

and Yes, that includes the genocides perpetuated by the Soviets and the Nazis.

I certainly agree that we have committed atrocities and must be held responsible for them, but I think that if we don't speak about Turkey because we don't want to admit our own there's the risk of falling into a mutual silence agreement or a bit of a Genocidal "Don't ask, Don't Tell." We should all, as 'free' nations, be calling each other on our mistakes and working globally to prevent them.
