a wampa of a weekend

We woke up to ten inches of snow here in northern Kentucky with impressive drifts here and there on the property. It is far from over, too. As I type, I am watching the snow continue to swirl along the house, peek in the window, and then turn away to find a softer place to land. For much of the night the snow was tiny, unimpressive specks of white ( Read more... )

That was hilarious. Trooper is so funny. How old is he again? Loved that he was doing all the scenes!

I know my youngest was that geeky when she was younger but she's since 'grown up' a bit - as if 13 was grown up. Still likes SW but not to that extent. :(

Luckily my oldest still retains the geek factor.

Ha! We don't get to act out the Hoth scene here in Houston, but if you come visit in August we can play Dagobah.

See, this is why Erik and I wanted to have a kid -- so we could turn him/her into as big a geek as we are.

No chance of playing Hoth around here (it's a beautiful, mild 75 degrees in SoCal today), but in July and August we can do a pretty good imitation of Tatooine. :-o

And you would be such great and gifted mentors in the fine arts of geekdom! *hugs*

Tatooine, I'll pass that on but oqi offered Dagobah... which to Trooper's mind means she just volunteered to play Yoda! lolz.

Would you play Qui Gon? That might compete with him. He would follow you around and call you 'master'.

Oh, my gosh, how priceless! Your holding your young one up by his ankles with him struggling for his lightsabre - BWHAHAHAHA!!!

Perfect and appropriate use of the precipitation, in my opinion.
