Smoking while on birth control increases your chance for heart problems and blood clots. Or something.

BUT!

Don't lose hope! :P

She might not be in a relationship anymore and is still continuing the pills. It can cause problems to stop and start them up later, it can be a lot safer to continue them whether or not their original purpose is present, especially if she thinks she'll be in a relationship soon again anyway. Also, some women just go on them for the controlled/fewer periods. Some women have ridiculously painful periods and bcs relieve that. Heck, some doctors perscribe bc for acne. O_o There are uses for it besides the anti-baby function that are really quite common. :'D

PS - I was sorting through ancient ruins in my room and found the Ah My Goddess movie. Would you want it or do you already have it? lol

lol i was gonna say much the same as ryumi, birth control pills does not equal a boyfriend. Some women go on the pill for period control, and it does help acne breakouts, and hell even with out a boyfriend its a little bit of extra security as a anti pregnancy backup if shes just floating around along with the fact that it takes a monthish once you start the pill for the hormone control to kick in and a month after you stop to get it to kick off, plus the hassle of getting a new script, its honestly just easier to just stay on the buggers between men.
