I JUST watch the newest Arashi ni Shiyagare. I thought it sweet that the aniki guest made a song for Ohshima (and that Arashi indulges her fangirling).
The song was fairly simple to understand so I decided to translate it. There were a few parts that I am no sure about, but isn't that just how it always is?
Why are you running, Ohshima?
In this hot and humid summer
We don’t know the true you
We are just always watching you on TV
If it’s about doing your best, if it’s about losing
Words are just secondary
A smile for that precious someone
Simply hell-bent, Ohshima
We admire your running back, Ohshima
While doubling yourself once in a while*
Just as is, even when this summer ends
As it is with you
There it, there. Tapioca
We’ll be waiting for you at Budoukan
If you can save the world with love
I want you to tell me with this body
That is love, that is love for sure
Ohshima who is right in front of me
We can see a pale dream at your back, Ohshima
However, you aren’t far from it
When the season change as they are
Don’t forget this summer
Because you are here
Let’s drink tapioca milk tea
No rebound, no rebound
No rebound 88
No rebound, no rebound
No rebound, Ohshima
*--> I am not sure about this, but re-reading it I think that maybe it refers to her doubling her weight, like yo-yoing her weight (although she has lost a lot already so I doubt this...). Or maybe doubling over/ bending over backwards to get to her goal? Not sure at all...Any help?
*translation: song
