I am in a translating mood and decided to get back to translating songs from Miyavi's first album, Gagaku.
This song is called 'Human Vegetable M's Theme'

Could you give me a hand?
Could you give me a Leg?
Could you give me a Head?
Could you give me a Body?
Could you give me a Eyes?
Could you give me a Nails?
Could you give me a hear?
Could you give me a Brain...

「Is his head screwed on straight?」 Mum said...

I'm just killing time...

It's not the end of the world, and this [is] history now
It's no use in crying over split milk, tomorrow's another day...maybe...

「Rikairanai」 no wa 「naze na no ka」to iukoto。 「naze ore wa」 nani ga 「rikaranai」 no?

Could you give me a hand?
Could you give me a Leg?
Could you give me a Head?
Could you give me a Body?
Could you give me a Eyes?
Could you give me a Nails?
Could you give me a hear?
Could you give me a Brain...

I'm just killing time...

「Boku wa a plant」 sou 「kusatta bara」、「tsunagarete」so no ue 「uerarete」
「Kazarimono」?「Kazarimono」。「Boku wa not human」 sou ikashita obuje」。

It's not the end of the world, and this [is] history now
It's no use in crying over split milk, tomorrow's another day...maybe...

Ze wa 「hitorigoto」、tada no 「hitorigoto」

You "can't kill me" because you '"love me", and it's precisely because "you love me" that you "want to kill me", right?
"Why is it" that "I don't understand".  "Why don't I" "understand" what it is?

Could you give me a hand?
Could you give me a Leg?
Could you give me a Head?
Could you give me a Body?
Could you give me a Eyes?
Could you give me a Nails?
Could you give me a hear?
Could you give me a Brain...

"Although I water it" and "although I fertilize it" too, "it will decay" -- "it will scatter and die" --.
In order "for it to die" does it "survive", or for "it to live" does it "decay"?

This is a "monologue", merely a "monologue".

Wait...I'm game...please help out, Hate, hAte, haT, hatE.
"Is his head screwed on straight?" Mum said...

I'm just killing time...

"I am a plant" that's right "a rotting rose", "connected" and above that "planted".
"A decoration"? " A decoration".  "I am not human" that's right "an object kept alive"

It's not the end of the world, and this [is] history now
It's no use in crying over split milk, tomorrow's another day...maybe...

This is merely a "monologue", a vegetable human's "monologue".

I have noticed that there is a recurring theme with this album, and it's giving voice to those who don't have them.  In Coin Lockers Baby it's to the baby that was left there (our version of dumpster babies) and in Papa Mama ~Nozomarenu Baby~ it's to the kid who's parents seem to be in the middle of a divorce or some situation where he can't speak up.  I find these lyrics to be fascinating, although a bit difficult to understand, especially when I try to look up the romaji.  Everyone gets it wrong.  Like for 'bara' they wrote 'bora' which took me a bit to figure out (couldn't read the kanji).  Anyways, Miyavi seems to use a lot of kana in place of kanji so sometimes it is hard to know what word he means.  It's fun though :3
