Many folks have asked about buying original art, and it's something I've never really done before. I'm not sure why, save that it's always struck me as a bit of a weird thing. Perhaps it still freaks me out a little that people actually like my drawings enough to wish to have them hanging on their walls ( Read more... )

Case sensitive server... the file name on the server is http://www.dorktower.com/images/global/originalart12.JPG - note the JPG; the link has it as lowercase.

I'm not much of a gamer, but I *love* the gazebo card and I'm a big fan of your art I'll put in dibs on that. :) Will it be an exact copy of the card, or an "inspired by" sort of thing?

It would be whichever you'd like, though the idea would be to do the original, with more of an interesting background...

Awesome. :) I hate pink, not that that's not a real likely gazebo color... I love fluorescent lime green and just about any blue, but go with whatever you have as a vision, just please not pink. :p

I did a pink background once, and hated it so much, I cut the main art off of it, and turned it into the multi-media "Midnight Cow" (above) - a FAR better piece. So we're on the same wavelength there. :-)

If you're serious about wanting the Gazebo, drop me a line at john@kovalic.com. I'd love to tackle that...

I know the Foglios have been putting original art up on ebay on a "Here's what we found in this pile" basis. Both as a way to make a few bucks and also to clean up the house. The only problem with ebay is that it does seem to take up time. But if you have someone to do the listings and mail out the art later...

Do not feel bad about the priciness of your art. I still have the MisCon 2009 pro badge art you did up in my dining room, and I do not regret the money I spent on it at all. I doubt many of your fans will mind, either.
