I find that I can usually have fun both with others and by myself. I can go at my own pace when I'm by myself, take more pictures, contemplate what I see, and get totally lost and not mind. But going on adventures with other people strengthens the bonds of friendship and shared experience, and you have someone to turn to and look at who just knows; you don't need to tell a story, you can just build upon what's already there.
There are moments in my day when I stop and realize I'm now living in Japan. Part of me marvels at that...but part of me feels like I've always belonged here. I think everyone should come here at least once and stay for a while.
It's way too much! ...but I need clean clothes, so it looks like I have no choice ><

I'm still pretty jealous and still can't believe you're there. LOL! And $4 for laundry is WAY too much!
