The Illinois State Fair was last week, and I didn't even know about it until it was over! Then again, I probably wouldn't have had the means to get there. :P I always wanted to go to the Ohio State Fair. I was actually in 4-H, so the county fair was a big part of my summer for almost ten years. Mmmmm the deep-fried stuff! I usually skipped out on the deep-fried sweets, except for the funnel cake. I was always more partial to the deep-fried veggies, particularly the mushrooms and cauliflower.
