1. I'm finally starting to settle into my schedule again, but it's had the unfortunate side effect of causing me not to look at my palm pilot (I am old school like that) enough, which leads to me missing events that I had committed to going. The people demand plant photos! Or, you know, I do. :) Although I cannot promise to be of any help in identifying them, sadly. Italy in winter sounds marvelous. The only time I was ever in Italy was three days in Venice fifteen years ago - I think it was around February and it was beautiful weather. I remember having the best pineapple gelato EVER.

I've just been reading my guidebook about Venice and they say the gelato there is the tops! Were you there for Carnival?

Sadly I wasn't, it was at the beginning of the month so nothing particular was happening. But a pigeon stood on my head when we fed them.

LOL. The first time I went to France with my family, a pigeon pooped right in my brother's hair. I think he was a bit scarred by the experience, being barely 10 at that point.
