Fire Update

Just to let everyone know....yes, San Diego is under attack from several fires, but I am doing fine so far. I'm pretty far away from where things are burning right now. I have several friends who live close to the fires, but so far everyone I've talked to has been evacuated but still has a house standing. I'll keep everyone posted if anything

I can't believe this. I am freaking out for everyone down there--especially since parts of Solana Beach and Del Mar are being evacuated! I hope my friends' families still have their homes...it's too awful to think about.

Being where you are, you'll probably be immune, but be safe anyway, hun.

Thanks, I will. Del Mar and Solana Beach's evacuations were lifted as of this afternoon, so that's a great sign. It's still ravaging east county though, and even as far west as RSF. I went on a bike ride over in Poway/Scripps Ranch a few weeks ago, and it's so weird to think it might just be a bunch of ashes now! :( :(

Haha, under a rock indeed. That's okay. Everything's ok for me now, but it was a little scary! Everyone I've talked to so far is okay, but I haven't had a chance to talk to a couple friends who live out by where there was a lot of damage. Keeping my fingers crossed, and meanwhile breathing through my nose and staying indoors!

at least that night I turned on the news and saw it all over. And then all over the papers on my checkstand the next day... etc. etc. Ha!! Glad things are good. xoxox

Seriously! Glad to hear everyone you know is okay too. Everyone I've talked to is ok, except for one lady at work who lives in Ramona...she doesn't know yet. :(
