I am sorry I couldn't read much of this, I just read it was about rasicm and I stopped.
Yesterday I had to see that a 17 year old Turkish boy was beaten into a coma and died, it happened in Denmark and only because he had a different Nationality.
I completely and utterly agree. <3 And trust me I understand. You have no idea how much I just wanted to walk out after that or even in the middle of it. I just didn't want to hear it. It's sooo terrible and I hate that. I can't handle it sometimes. :(
So, I am a bisexual. I think you know that? Anyways, so, I discussed this with someone older than I. Someone who happens to be a strict British Protestant. You can just IMAGINE what they had to say to me. So, while reading that I had a story that she told me come to my head. In my little old town of Richmond, a teacher was fired for being a lesbian. FIRED. She was not allowed teaching simply because she was gay. I think that's unfair. I want to be a teacher, so what does that put in for me? I mean, if this teacher was going around forcing the children to be gay, I'd understand. But it was simply the fact that she was married to a women. And this was outside of school. Not IN school. It made me FURIOUS! ..That's all.
My french teacher and I discussed it. She put it this way, "I am Mme. Reid, you a re Allyson. Yes, I am straight and you are bisexual. BUt that doesn't mean anything to me. You lead your own life, and I lead mine. It doesn't matter to me what you are. It's not like it's changing mine whatsoever. You lead a seperate life from me, and it doesn't matter." ..something to taht affect.
