If anyone's looking for an entertainment recommendation, both the graphic novel and the movie version of Persepolis were absolutely brilliant.

Along those lines, the comic book store we picked up the novel from, in Ardmore? One of the best finds since I moved here. When I finally get a job (whenever that lucky day is going to be...), my present to ( Read more... )

So so awesome - the characters of our fairy tales and nursery rhymes etc. have been driven out of their Homelands by a mysterious Adversary and now live in our world. The main enclave is in Manhattan.
King Cole is the Mayor, Snow White is his assistant, and the Big Bad Wolf is the sheriff.
Graphic novel #1 is a bit of a stand-alone noir-ish mystery to launch the series, but after that the plot piles on fast and intense. :)

I love them.
