La Palette

So. Today I went to La Palette on Peter B.'s recommendation. It's an excellent, excellent little french bistro tucked into a small little space in Kensington Market (so small that we walked right by it the first time without even realizing it). Completely unpretentious, tiny little rickety tables, and the entire restaurant itself probably had room

I can't help thinking that eating something like elk or caribou should give you magic powers.

I have this totally unsupported theory that the more exotic the species, the less likely it was raised on some corporate farm/feedlot situation. My sister's family are hunters and I like the deer meat because at least the deer had some kind of life ... up until the whole shooting and killing thing.
