You've found yourself in the park. Never mind how you got there. Maybe you were planning a picnic, maybe you were talking a walk, maybe you were so carried away by another emotion you don't remember

[Now, he ain't sure what a yen is, but that nickel ain't wood; it's bad luck to grift a grifter. An' it's gotta be some kind of job, that brainbabble trick that's been chasin' him right outta the seance market.
Helps to be friendly with the competition, no? At least at first.
The nickel rings against his thumbnail, flashes an arc into the can, dead center, buffalo-up. His shadow helped--the sunlight made a clear angle for his fingers, an easy reach.
Can't just make off with money in daylight where all sorts of folk can see, so he smiles and sits himself down instead. No call to take your hat off out-of-doors, but he tilts it polite just the same.]
[And he's not sure what to make of his new customer, but right now it's better not to try and make anything of him but what he makes himself. He tilts his head up and up and up with a polite smile.]
Not too long. Do you want a seat?
[If last year taught him anything, and he learned a lot last year, it's the normal ones you have to be cautious around. The strange ones you expect they'll have a problem for you to try and solve, but the normal ones might just be hiding something too big for him to brave alone.]
[That's an interesting way of putting it. Does he want a seat. Maybe it's a confidence trick; the lad's careful to smile. They're both careful to smile. Howdy-do, suh.
He's new here, too, anyroad.]
Reckon so. I paid for one.
[And he grins, just a mite sharp. Sits on his shadow before it can pull the chair for him.]
[Souji waves his hand as a slight "go ahead" and sits up enough to pay attention. He can already tell that this guy isn't here for the usual, but hey, he'll see what he's here for, he's a paying customer too.]
So what's going on? Anything in particular, or do you just want to chat? I'm good with either.
((girl we need to srstalk and my MSN doesn't work anymore, you have alternate deets I can use y/n))
[and he just watches for a moment until he figures out what's going on]
The money's only a suggestion, if that's what you're having trouble with.
[This one's even stranger than the last customer. He doesn't know anything about magic except what he did with Izanagi but he can feel wrongness pulsing off this guy; the closest thing to it is what Adachi-san felt like after his shadow took over - not just the power, but the bitterness, the anger - this stall's getting to be more than he bargained for.]
[He straightens up, blowing a strand of hair out his eyes before lounging in the chair. It needs more pillows. He scowls down at the chair for a moment before looking up at the boy with magic that rings like an empty jar.]
You psych people?
[He remembers his last psychiatrist. They couldn't get the barbeque smell out of the room for days.]
[He laughs with an awkward, self deprecating shrug, and leans back in his chair in a way that says he's got forever to chat.] A friend made the sign. She says it's a pop culture reference. People would take "Come talk to me and solve your problems" the wrong way, you know? [He shrugs again with a slightly helpless drop in his shoulders.] Even if that's what happens most of the time.
So what's on your mind?
[He's always been good at hiding his actual feelings, and right now he's getting something nastier and nastier off this guy: behind the rude facade he's put up there are walls within walls and invisible buttons marked SELF-DESTRUCT or DEATH planted square in the middle of them, but he's not going to run away from this guy's truth, whatever it turns out to be.]

Basically, you talk to me about whatever you want to talk about, and then we'll see where it goes, okay?
