they got divorced because things were falling apart. neither of them were happy and they were constently fighting. my mom told my dad that it was my fault, because i told her that she didn't have to take the mental abuse anymore. i didn't say anything to her about it, because she would have denied it, as she does everything. the main reason they got separated was my doing. they got into a huge fight one night and he was throwing things and yelling. slamming doors. etc. i called the police because i knew if it had kept on, he would have hit her. my dad is mentally unstable and always has been. i know it's from things from his past, but i can also tell that since he's been single that he's a lot better. but yes. i tend to ramble on sometimes. :D
ya. thing is i was never afraid of him, so i was the only person he would ever apologize to. there was only one time he almost hit me and i told him if he ever touched me that i'd call the police on him. i really do love him. i mean, it's not like i can hate him, he's my dad. i know that he's like a little kid with an anger problem. you've just got to listen to him and understand that sometimes he has his outbursts. my mom never understood this and would push him to his limits because she wanted to know things then and now and honestly, thought he couldn't do anything for himself. she means well, most of the time, but sometimes she's just so dumb and doesn't want to understand things.
yeah ; is he on anything or does he see anyone for his anger problems ? i dont know even after all of this i like your dad way better than cliff haha .

i dunno what happened, but when she called the first thing she said was 'thank god we finally got rid of cliff and his kids'. i laughed for about an hour.
