It seemed a desperate quest. No sooner did we think we had finally reached the West that we discovered something else still ahead of us. We went on. The elusive frontier kept on moving away, turtle to our Achilles. Worse, still: After months we found ourselves in our point of departure. The word was round and the West was just playing with us.
We were about to give up when I got the idea.
We would stop, turn around and face East. Sooner or later the West, thinking we were still running behind it would come running into our nets.
