NAME: Lavi
NICKNAMES: Flame Queen, Vi (as in "violet"), Rabbit (Kanda's fault; hates this one, Anita is the only one she doesn't mind calling her that, Tyki used to call her that as well), Firebug

BIOGRAPHY: The product of an eloped-marriage between a banker (father) and an artist (mother), both of whom were Storm Riders, Lavi has never really known the love of a family. Bookman, her faternal grandfather, raised her mostly out of family obligation seeing as he disapproved of the marriage to begin with. This - of course - impacted the young girl growing and Lavi turned to what any attention seeking child might: lighting things on fire. She set anything on fire that she could, anything flammable, the only things she avoided setting fire to was anything of her grandfather's, didn't want a beating, and animals, life was already cruel to them most of the time. This "bad habit", while cool, kept her from having any real friends growing up, they were all playing with dolls or dressing up and playing make-believe.

One would more often find her surrounded by a bunch of boys whom were mischief makers themselves. However these were never a true group of friends and Lavi knew that when she was first initiated into the group. These boys fended for themselves at the first sign of trouble and if you got caught you were on your own. So she ran faster than they could, knowing she couldn't depend on them for help when it came down to it. So while teamwork was easy, when it mattered Lavi would choose to depend on herself, carried her own weight and expected nothing back from the others on her team. And most of the time she chose to be by herself.

Something that would continue into high school along with her pyromaniac problems, especially with the gift of her father's Air Treks from her grandfather. Bookman taught Lavi everything he knew about the mechanical skates - how to use them, care for them, and even about the battles - and she went from there, becoming as skilled as if she were born in them. And wherever she went with her newly found wings, Lavi caused chaos with a burst of flame yet she was dangerously brilliant if reckless with the way she skated. Everyone wanted the girl on their team but Lavi chose to ride alone, not wanting to risk being dropped mid-flight by a team she didn't really know. Joining no one the pyro-rider went on just enjoying being able to fly as high and as far as she wanted, it was her cure for everything.

Even boredom as one day she found herself running through a forest up in the mountains, coming across a battle between two huge teams. It was a battle for the Flame Road, however the Flame Regalia sat unused on a pillow for the victorious team to claim. Kind of stupid in her eyes to do such a thing and so more in a mind to make them realize this and less because of the rarity of the Regalia, Lavi took the wheels right under their noses. Spectators enraptured by the fight no one saw her take the "cool wheels" that reflected what she did on a regular basis. Only after Lavi put them on her own ATs and ran around the small complex she lived in with her grandfather did Bookman notice just what his granddaughter had dug up. Bookman told Lavi about the Regalia and she was just ecstatic that she had found a set of wheels that not only complimented her in the way they looked but they also caught the world on fire.

Lavi began training with the Regalia, at first in secret as she struggled to uncover all of the secrets of the wheels. It was a very slow process what with not even knowing what kind of moves she could do with the things but Lavi's confidence rose and soon she was riding them out in public more than content to just ride around on the illusionary flames. But she managed to catch the eye of another King within her school, the Fang Regalia holder Kanda Yuu, their bickering coming down to a fight. A fight that ended in a draw but was clearly heading toward a loss for the over-confident Lavi, Kanda called it off soon after the redhead injured herself rather badly. Riding one of her flame-kicks a bit too closely Lavi managed to burn the right side of her face near the eye and a good portion of her right shoulder. She lost the eye but didn't lose her passion for fire and kept at her training, determined that the next time she fought Kanda it wouldn't end in a forced draw but a win for her. Months of training later she arrived at the beginning of her senior year in high school and defeated many Storm Riders in her way.

Then came along The Exorcists team and their charismatic leader Allen Walker, who threw down his team's emblem for a battle with Lavi. If she lost then she'd have to join them and while she didn't exactly lose the battle against the crazy-strong leader, Lavi found herself enthralled by the kind of sky that Allen flew in. It was a sky that called for her and Lavi went into it willingly, wanting to find her own spot in that tempting sky. A few weeks later, much to her own amusement, Kanda joined the team as well, completing the set of Kings to compliment the Queens.

It was a bittersweet moment for her when they made another addition to the team, an older man by the name of Tyki Mikk. He gave the team a much needed power boost, especially when one considered his partnership with Lavi. Her Flame Road and his Time Road made them practically un-defeatable. Yet as close as they were it was only a ploy to get the Flame Queen to let down her guard enough for Tyki to steal the Flame Regalia from her after almost killing Lavi in a fight. Unbeknownst to The Exorcists, Tyki was actually a member of a team called The Noah, a team that Lavi had apparently stolen the Regalia from in the first place. Kanda set off after Tyki to reclaim the Regalia, the reason why was never shared with Lavi even though she's questioned him countless times, shredding one of the older man's limbs and returning the Regalia to Lavi's hands.

Even after physically recovering from the incident, Lavi's trust took an even longer time to recover. She refused to trust anyone new, anyone she didn't know was stared at suspicously and her lighters never really left her hands. After a while this too got better but at times it hits her all over again. Again she started training, a new goal in mind - though she still wants to defeat Kanda - to kick Tyki's ass and show him that she doesn't need him anymore. She masters parts of the Time Road, a Road part of her own but a branch, and gets back some of the power now missing with Tyki's betrayal. Lavi also polished up her own Road, making it the best that it's been since she gained the Regalia, the aim to be strong enough so that she doesn't have to rely on anyone ever again.

Lavi is a second generation Gravity Child, her mother being the original carrier of the genes, something that is unknown to the Storm Rider thanks to the fight that occurred between herself and Kanda. Her right eye used to have the same special pupil as any other Gravity Child but thanks to that battle and losing that eye, the only one who might know of this information is Kanda and he most likely won't tell.

AGE: 18 [08/10]

HEIGHT: 5'8"

WEIGHT: 137lbs

BODY TYPE: Wiry and agile Lavi's body can handle the beatings she puts it under on a daily basis. She may seem not all that strong but she has muscles of considerable strength, especially for being a girl. Her flexibility has come out mostly to avoid attacks from Kanda.

CLOTHING STYLE: Usually has clips in her hair to hold her hair back when necessary but all other times it's loose. Wears a few pieces of jewelry; earrings, a necklace or two, and sometimes a ring, the metal being either sterling silver or white gold. Even in the winter the only kind of shirts Lavi wears are tank tops of a variety of colors, not too tight. To cover up she'll find a short sleeved zip up or a USMC military coat found in a vintage store, the sleeves usually cover up her black leather, fingerless gloves. Her pants will vary from either shorts (that only go down a third of her thigh) or boot-cut jeans of a dark wash that are always shredded and burned down at the cuff. When she's not wearing her ATs, Lavi can be found wearing a sturdy pair of steel-toe boots in a dark brown for ankle support and good traction.

SPEAKING STYLE: Most of the time Lavi will give those she doesn't know short and to the point answers, it's rare that she'll indulge more than she wants especially if she doesn't trust them. Her tone is a little warmer to those that Lavi knows and gets along with and she shares more details. Still has a little of a kansai-ben accent that she mostly hides but it still comes out when she's pissed off or relaxed/drunk.

GENERAL DEMEANOR: Unless she knows you the general aura she gives off is one of tolerance, which mostly comes from being wary. Not that Lavi will openly let anyone know that she doesn't trust them or that she's suspicious. She's very good at putting up a front though when she's angry or bored the lighters come out and something is very likely to be set on fire. If she likes you, she'll flirt.

CAREER: The Queen of the Flame Road, an Storm Rider for The Exorcists. A high-school graduate of average grades, though if she applied herself to her studies she could have easily taken first. Also tends to do a side job where she's a courier of sorts and does random errands for neighbors for cash. Online college courses for photography now take up part of her time.

PREJUDICES: Lavi hates being betrayed or lied to and will quite possibly hold a grudge against the person for a long while. White lies are passible. Dislikes those who play mind games, trying to confuse and make others slip up or do what they want, she rarely partakes of them herself.

BEST QUALITIES: Lavi is loyal to a fault and most loyal to her teammates for they've hardly ever done a thing to make her think of leaving them. It's rare that she invests her loyalty into anyone else but her team. A quick learner she only has to see a trick performed once before she's got it completely memorized. Learning how to do it herself still takes time and practice, something she's willing to invest. Always on time and always clean, it's the way she was raised and hell if she isn't because here comes her grandfather's punishment.

WORST QUALITIES: Lavi gets angry rather quickly, one can blame it on her hair if they like, but unlike many redheads who vent rather loudly Lavi turns her anger inward. She'll run off to be alone, solitude and ignoring everyone are her ways to deal with it all. She has a horrible habit of ignoring her injuries unless they're something life threatening, after all a little pain never hurt anyone. Lavi is vindictive and horribly so, if you cross her in a huge way (like Tyki did) then Lavi will do all that she can to make you pay for your actions. Even if they were against a teammate of hers, you'll still pay.

WEAKNESSES: Her inability to trust for fear of betrayal is one of her biggest weaknesses, it almost cripples her at some points. But she's slowly learning to trust again and fully extend her wings. For now, though, everyone has a secret agenda, a hidden plan, and somehow there's something against her in it.

HOBBIES: Air Treck, dancing (flexibility), training, fire tricks. Napping in the sunshine, playing and learning guitar, cooking, running (without ATs) early in the morning, photography (secret), doing laundry.

TALENTS: Lavi is talented with fire and performing her tricks with the dangerous element, most of this stemming from her playing with fire since she was a young child. She's not scared of it and knows its dangers. While Lavi is learning the guitar she also has a few years of piano and violin before she gave up on the instruments. The guitar is mostly to help her learn how to Tune her ATs as she hates relying on a Tuner she doesn't trust for something so special as her Regalia. She can run pretty darn fast for a girl, it was one of those escapes when she was younger aside from burning things. And similar to her persona in D.Gray-Man Lavi can remember anything she's seen/read although she may not immediately recall it or know how to use it.

Mostly because of Bookman (Gramps) Lavi knows several languages though she hardly uses them, listed in order of fluency: Japanese, English, French, Korean, Mandarin, Cantonese, German, Russian, Spanish, Indonesian.
