o1] Acts more like a girl than a guy, despite having been in the Order for a few years. And Retana doesn't really see a need to pretend to be something she really isn't.
o2] Keeps up the burlesque dancing although she doesn't necessarily need it anymore. It's one of the few ways that Retana likes keeping herself fit with.
o3] Is a little more than jealous that her parents had another kid after they apprenticed her off, but Retana now has a baby brother (Richard) who is fourteen years old and being trained to take over the family business.
o4] Actually quite flexible and uses her bendy body to her advantage, it's something that came over with her when Retana became Mattias. Enjoys shocking the hell out of "his" companions with the things "he" can do, very close to being a contortionist.
o5] A good singer, not great, not magnificent, not the best of her century. Just...good. And honestly that's good enough for Retana. She has no aims to be remembered for her voice of all things, such a tell-tale thing.
o6] Hates dresses, deplores them. So she'll often be wandering around wearing trousers and shocking the living daylights out of the men of her era. Though it doesn't matter much with being a guy as Mattias.
o7] Doesn't like the smell of roses, however they are her favorite flower based on looks. She likes the idea around it, what with the thorns protecting the beautiful flora. Envisions herself much like it.
o8] Likes being warm, all the time, Retana is a heat lover and severely dislikes being cold. So being a burlesque dancer was a love/hate kind of record for her, she moved enough and she was warm, slow it down and too cold.
o9] However, while she likes being warm/hot, she dislikes humidity so much that she refuses to go to tropical locations. Bookman frequently goes on these records by himself while Retana stays at Clan headquarters or goes on a record of her own.
1o] Has a crush on Howard Link, but seeing as Mattias is a guy, Retana on the inside of it all has very conflicted ways about dealing with this. To play it safe she simply falls back on the playground-love of bullying/picking on the one you like/think is cute. Crude but...it works. He's safer to crush on than another Finder like Doug.
11] Smells like fallen leaves, freshly tilled soil and something light and feminine but not floral. Constantly covers her own personal scent with Imperial Jade while female, but just lets it go while recording as Mattias.
12] Absolutely hated cutting her hair short for the record Mattias, not usually supposed to get attached but she actually cried when sitting in the barber chair. It had been growing since Retana was a child.
13] Wears barrettes in her hair instead of a headband, clipping bangs out of the way and making funky hairstyles. Bookman lets her do it so long as they don't get crazy and start to stand out more than they already do.
14] Likes reading adventure stories that have love stories built into them, loves feeling the rush alongside the hero or heroine. Can get lost in these sorts of stories for hours upon end.
15] And the stories she loves more than anything? Mythology, especially that of the Greeks. Especially the ones that teach "lessons" with their horrifying morals.
16] Doesn't like little kids all that much, but she adores babies. Kids you have to answer questions and keep track of; babies don't go anywhere you don't go until they start crawling or walking, and even then you can still hold them.
17] Takes a ton of walks, be it around the Order or out in the streets. Something about walking around and moving helps Retana think and relax. Same thing can be said about hot baths, but she makes do with the walks.
18] When given paper Retana cuts and folds the strips into little stars, waiting until she's done with however many sheets she's given before she'll toss them in the air. It's like her own personal star shower.
19] Loves astrology, loves the stories behind them. The stars are the only things that would get Retana outside in the cold air for a long period of time if she's not camping on the road.
2o] Sometimes has nightmares of things that come true further down the road, but they all revolve around the current record and Retana is called "Lavi". She's not sure why it's so different but it alarms her that some of the things are coming true. So she starts looking for them to try and change them.
21] Sometimes has hallucinations that are linked with the information gained through her dreams, images superimposed over another, items in different locations, names misheard or misread.
22] Lactose intolerant yet she's still rather tall for a girl (5'9"), even taller still as a guy (6'1"). And while skilled moving in her girl frame, Retana is more than awkward in the gangly form, though she's improving.
23] Retana's right eye is perfectly fine, except for the dreams and hallucinations, so to try and block them Bookman had a sorcerer - most likely Cross - inscribe a power circle on the inside of the eye-patch she now wears. It blocks a good deal of them but not all of them.
24] While she loves her family, Retana has never felt like she was part of it or really very comfortable in it. Except while as Mattias, because they wanted a son, so she refuses to go home while recording as Mattias. It's a lie.
25] Somewhat of a mother-hen figure, if you're hurt or sick beware of this redhead. She won't stop until she's gotten you some kind of aid.
26] Has very curly hair, another reason why she didn't want to cut it, but after recording as Lael she began to straighten it to avoid being called "Curls" again. Her hair still waves but it's mostly straight.
27] Learned to play the harp while she was Lael and enjoys the instrument but she rarely plays it. Prefers more to listen to those with more of a musician's skill than she.
28] Wears sexy underclothes under her outfits mostly because to her they're comfortable. One could probably blame her being a burlesque dancer on this but she enjoys dressing up in a way that's for her only. It makes her feel sexy and confident.

But while she likes him and will blush horribly so every few sentences they talk, 'Tias will never ever act in this crush. 36] While she might not have liked to wear the dresses back home - the long, floor-sweeping ones - Mattias adores the dresses of more modern times. She's constantly wearing sundresses that just barely hit her mid-thigh and skirts with loose shirts. They're all that she wears for the most part, though there are some days she'll revert back to pants and shorts.
