☽Ten Facts☾
01. Was actually a little more reckless before he turned than he is now. His favorite escapade involved Blue Moon Lounge, a place he played at frequently. It had a pretty lady, a bar fight, car theft, and the joy ride/car chase that ended in a barn the next morning.
02. Turning was what shocked him into his shell. That and having to relearn how to live because of it.
03. Allen is slowly starting to return to being that "reckless" guy again. A very slow process, but he's actually looking forward to being "old enough" in the vampire world that he won't have to worry about the effects that go with biting.
04. Has never cheated in a game of cards, never learned how, but he has an amazing poker face. Tries not to use his skills as a vampire to learn the "tells" of other players. It's the one thing he likes keeping...clean.
05. Doesn't have a British accent, at all. It's gone from all the traveling he's done with his master/sire.
06. Hates when it feels like something is being kept from him, especially when he knows it. It makes him very irritable.
07. Because he keeps losing loved ones/family members, Allen is very protective of the ones he's finding here. He'll do absolutely anything for them, even if that means he ends up dying (again) or being horribly scarred.
08. Feels like he's missing out on knowing all these different people that seem to know him. It makes him feel very lonely, despite having good friends and finding family. It actually puts him off from eating or sleeping for a few days.
09. Is actually getting tired of hiding what he is and is almost at the point of where he won't go hiding it anymore.
10. Absolutely adores his kitten and golem. They're...something that will go through the lonely years with him, and that means the world to him. He's not too sure he wouldn't last without them.
11. He's getting more and more used to the idea of biting people for food, thanks to that whole feeding frenzy fiasco he had to go through.
12. Hating the fact that he can't eat the things he loves more and more. Never really realized it before Lavi's birthday with all the chocolate cake. But he loves that and strawberries.
13. Really annoyed with how Innocence makes his instincts scream to get away and flee. Part of him just wants to grab something and bash away at the stuff.
14. It makes him really glad, in a way, that he's not a full reincarnation of that version of him from his brother's time. He wouldn't have been able to stand having Innocence attached to him.
15. Now has a firm dislike for haunted houses/places. Never really minded them before when he was human or in the beginning parts of being a vampire. But since coming to the DR he finds them absolute torture on his senses.
16. Another result from his feeding frenzy fiasco, Allen is starting to slowly chip away at his humanity. Mostly because he doesn't want to die and his brother said it was the best way to not die.
17. But having friends like Allen (selfdeluded), Lavis (besomeothername and coffeeflirt), and having the angel (heartsbook) keep him from fully throwing it away. How is he going to fully enjoy their company if he's an indifferent and bitter bastard?
18. Still hasn't really gotten used to or accepted the idea that he's going to watch everyone around him grow old and die. Refuses to believe it for fear that he might break off totally from them and just...hide.
19. Regenerating hurts like a goddamn bitch. No one warned him for it, at all. And it takes up way too much energy for his liking.
20. This, in no way, means that he's going to give up going back to his reckless ways. It'll just be the safe recklessness that he had when he was human.
21. Likes coloring in coloring books with crayons, but he definitely dislikes the activity books. He just wants to color, not connect the dots or anything like that!
22. Is feeling a lot better than he ever has now that he is strictly sticking to a human only diet. Though he still feels horrible each time he bites someone and drinks their blood, it's something he'll be fighting for a long time.
23. Scared shitless by the time that he starved himself and vows to never to do that again, which is mostly the reason for him eating a normal diet now.
24. Can't dance, at all, which is why he almost always begged off from the ladies trying to pull him on the dance floor. He'd much rather not embarrass himself with his two left feet.
25. Wishes that he wasn't "allergic" to sunlight or silver. Silver is the only metal that he's really liked, although white gold and stainless steel do look like it, he really does like silver more. As for the sunlight, he just misses the hell out of it, misses feeling its warmth.
26. When he was human he had an absolutely horrible diet, eating whatever he could get his hands on. Mostly the food from diners or very heavily fried foods. But it doesn't really bother him anymore.
27. Also has a really horrible sweet tooth. Loves chocolate cake/icing and strawberry milkshakes. They're his little guilty pleasure. ♥
28. Likes babies. A lot. He wants one of his own. Really Allen could see himself as a father before he was turned, years down the road perhaps, but now that's been taken away from him. Maybe it's for the best but he can't help but be jealous when he sees others walking around with young ones.
29. Hates that he has to wear earplugs when he plays piano or watches a movie or listens to some music. It's irritating that his ears overpower him so much.
30. And for the same reason he doesn't really appreciate flowers like he once used to. It's just...too strong for him to handle despite loving the flowers.
31. Goes to a church every Sunday - at home and in the DR - to pray for forgiveness for what he does every single week. He prays to be forgiven by those he's bitten, for why he bit them, and even prays for those that he's accidentally killed. Asking their forgiveness too. But otherwise Allen isn't overly religious.
32. Has taken to falling asleep sometimes in dogwood trees, just a nap. Their scent is soothing for him.
33. Picking his most prized possession is a hard one. But if he had to pick one thing. It'd end up being Timcampy. He loves everything else he's gotten. But Neah meant a lot to him and he didn't even expect to get Timcampy. He knows that the golem is special thanks to the DR and cherishes him.
34. He sees nothing wrong with vampire relationships. He does have a healthy idea of how a family operates thanks to being raised by Mana for some of his life, yet he knows that this isn't the norm that vampires experience because of his sire. It helps a lot to have the intricacies explained to you by someone who knows them intimately. He's careful to try and keep the normal human family idea with his brother and twin because without having it explained or experiencing it it's kind of...shocking. But if he was hit on by them...well, he'd reciprocate. He actually sort of misses the fun things that one can do in a proper vampirepile, how playful they can be and flirting on the edge of danger.
