There is something strangely thrilling about sleeping with a woman who is a hundred different women in appearance, yet still smells and feels the same.
Funny how I wasn't into the R/T idea at all, but then several friends wrote very good ones, and now I sort of like it, damn you anyway. ;) This feels like a very authentic take on how it might play out.
I don't like the R/T idea at all, for various reasons, not least of which is that I tend to see Remus as gay, and so therefore not really much into the women, and also because I don't see anything in the text that tells me they'd see each other as anything more than friend/cousin of Sirius, you know?
So making it work in fic for me means the author is going to have to build a relationship from the ground up.
And avoid having her ever, EVER call him Moony. ::shudders:: Only Sirius is allowed to do that. And maybe Harry.
Yeah, I'm irrational. *g*
Otherwise, I like Tonks. Bring on the Tonksfic. *g*
The part in the middle is winning out. Once again, stunningly good abuse of my heart and a definite tear-jearker. My favorite aspect of this is how sweet Remus' relationship with Tonks is, subtle and even sensual, and in a very pederastic way (*g* -- hurrah for too much education and transapplication of words that don't *quite* fit). I like the very lethargic way that you set this pace.
Altogether wonderful. Thanks for sharing, and hurry it up with the Remus/Bill! And where on earth is Mollyfic?
*nag nag nag*
*clings to your knees and whispers: "Vic, Vic! Do my homework for me! You know you want to."*

But all he sees is Sirius.
If you haven't noticed from my drabbles, I'm all about the final line. You've got a good one in the former, and a really great one in the latter.
Lovely.

Thanks, James.
And yeah, in such a short story, the last line has to have punch. I'm so happy you thought this one worked.

Part of me is saying, "Oh, GOD! Vic RULES ME!"
Part of me is saying, "OH GOD. LABS. LABS!"

I'm writing, I'm writing. Comedy can't be rushed.
The Remus/Bill is almost finished. *g*
