Oh it's a never ending up and down

Oh man, fuck the Patriots. I knew it was over when Ryan took that sack. Matty Ice was melting under the pressure (I know I'm like the millionth person to make that joke, but it's right there) and the coaching was...poor. I went to bed (Ireland!) after the first touchdown because it looked like it was going to be a grind of a game. Am kinda upset I missed the comeback but not really because I know it would have been four am, I would not have been able to go to sleep with excitement/rage and I did not book today off work. Also, I was so not staying up til the wee small hours just to see TB lift that trophy!

Yeah, I've only taken the Monday off when it was the Giants playing, because I knew I was going to be 1. emotionally drained either way, and 2. at a party until all hours.

I used to stay up every year and go to bed about half three and be up at 730 and into school and do my days teaching and I'd be tired but I'd be grand. I've learned that there are things you can do in your early 20s that you just can't do at 39! Besides, Himself was away this weekend and only got back this evening so even if I did have the day off for me, I'd have still had to get up at 7 to get the little princess up and dressed and out for school so there was no point. Especially when see above point about F*** the Patriots!

Yeah, I can't stay up like that anymore either. Getting old sucks. Though I guess it's better than the alternative. *g*
