Books first, since that's very brief and there's a lot of TV to cover:

What I've just read
Star Wars #15 (did I miss #14 or was it jointly #14 with Darth Vader/the conclusion of Vader Down? Comics, you remain a mystery): I feel like this issue is the concept paper for an Obi-Wan movie, to which I say, just give us Ewan McGregor as early Tatooine- ( Read more... )

I think it was just the lighting that made Peggy's lipstick look different, but I could be wrong. That golden light is pretty great though.

And absolutely, the FBI has no idea what it just got itself into. I imagine Peggy will be hauling their chestnuts out of the fire by the end of the season.

Is the zero matter that stuff from very early Agents of SHIELD episodes?

It definitely looked like something that appeared on SHIELD while I was still watching it, though I saw some people speculate it was the thing from the episode with Amy Acker instead. I'm not sure.

re: Flash--so true about the tired old tropes. This is us, yelling at the screen during The Flash. "No! Don't tell her your secret identity--she'll immediately be in danger!" "No! Don't start to tell her now--you'll be interrupted by the villain!"

Imagine if Barry tells all his girlfriends he's the Flash. One by one, they'll all go to work at Star Labs, staring daggers at each other, like a dysfunctional harem.

Also, can we talk about Kaitlin for a moment? She is always in a pretty dress which she wears just once. She stands on cement, all day long, in high heels. Her hair is always just-so. Her make-up is flawless. But why? Nobody at Star Labs ever notices. I mean, that sad guy takes a lukewarm interest, but there's no chemistry there. Both of them are locked in some weird pity date. I feel like Kaitlin's whole demeanor is a silent cry for help. The writers need to get on it.

I would enjoy Barry's exes being his support team and making his life uncomfortable. I mean, Linda and Iris teaming up was pretty great.

I feel like they've done Caitlin a huge disservice this season (except in the Grodd episode). She was both fun and interesting last season. I'm not sure what happened, except for the amount of time they spent on setting up the spinoff.
