I completely failed at adulting yesterday - I didn't even go to the grocery store, so I have to go buy lunch today (I'll stop in after work tonight and purchase lunch supplies) - because I stayed up way too late on Saturday night reading a novel-length story that was marked "COMPLETE - 8/8" but was not in fact complete. I find titling stories the hardest thing to do (apart from write them, obviously!) - for me, I always find they either come straight away and stick, or finding one is like pulling teeth. I do like the idea of having a file of story titles though, I may snag that if you don't mind!

It can be SO DIFFICULT to come up with a title, yeah, so the list really helps. I recommend it!

I have a list but I very often go for the 'ooooh d'you see' kind of double-meaning one-word titles. Eg 'Unforgivable' was dark Ron/Draco set after the war, and explicitly it was about whether Ron could forgive Draco, but also vice-versa and it had connections to the Unforgivable Curses. I like it but I don't know how often that method is effective!

that method works pretty well. My problem is that I never think of those things until two years later when I'll get fb on something and suddenly go, "Oh, that's what I should have named that story!"
