Writing! Such a terrible hobby! I added another 300 words to this story and still these dumbasses aren't anywhere near kissing. What the hell?

Reading, otoh, reading is great, even if this week's books aren't all that exciting.

What I've just finished
Annihilation: Book 1 of the Southern Reach Trilogy by Jeff VanderMeer. Ugh. Anti-rec. SO BORING ( Read more... )

memes: what i'm reading wednesday, national poetry month 2015, tv: the flash, poetry, books, memes: books, writing is hard!, tv: izombie

I mean, yes, Lance needs to forgive Laurel, but really, "it's good to lie to people you love to protect them" is DUMB.

I think the lesson imparted was supposed to have been in both directions, but they needed to have emphasized how WRONG Joe was being waaaay more. They have 4 eps left, and Iris better learn Barry's secret before the season is over OR ELSE.

Cisco & Laurel were unexpectedly adorable together, yes! That photo Cisco stashed, his giddy smile, and Laurel's mock threat! Except um, all this happy-go-luckiness didn't really mesh with all the heavy shit going down in Starling City right now. I mean, they flat out skipped over the whole "sooo, Arrow/Roy is seemingly dead" part!

Maybe it's because of all the terrible patriarchal bullshit re. keeping Iris in the dark, but I found myself enjoying iZombie more than The Flash in these past few weeks. The writing on iZombie has been consistently sparkly. I just hope it doesn't turn out to be an one-season wonder like VMars...

I thought so at first, but then they were just like, "lying to protect your loved ones is A-OK!" so I guess I don't think they sold that it went both ways at all.

Yeah, I believe either the scheduling or the planning got messed up with these crossovers.

I just hope it doesn't turn out to be an one-season wonder like VMars...

as much as it stings to lose a show, sometimes I think it's better for a show to go away before I start to get unhappy about it. I would take one great season over one great season and two seasons that decline and make me ragey. *hands*
