It snowed again today, so good thing I had bacon! Snowstorms + bacon = best tradition I ever instituted. I made another pot of French onion soup yesterday, and it was just as good the second time around (I finished the last batch during the week). Oh, I loved LWR/LWD! Ewan is just adorable; every time he smiled I found myself smiling at the screen. It definitely made up for the parts that made me want to cringe.

Mmm, lemon carrot bisque sounds lovely.

I filled my crock pot with onions last night and it all smells so good this morning. I gave away my onion soup bowls in the move, and I hate wet bread, so I'll have to improvise on the cheese, but the recipe looked so good and so simple I just had to try it.

Eh, you could just sprinkle parmesan on top - that wouldn't require putting it in the oven. Or maybe a slice of pre-cooked zucchini or eggplant instead of bread?

I have Fiestaware bowls, but they can take the heat to 350F, so I didn't need to buy crocks.
