A little later than normal, but I did want to post my mid-season TV report card. I'm just going to take my post from September and fill in my thoughts.

Sunday:
Returning:Football - this was not a good year for the NFL in general and for my team in particular, though playing in a fantasy league for the first time was kind of fun ( Read more... )

I'm on the General Grell arc now and I can't believe how much I care about Anakin and the clones. I would have never expected this...and the voice acting! And Ahsoka! bitchy Obi-Wan which is my favorite flavor of Obi-Wan. A lot of good things here. (I don't blame you for skipping Jar Jar episodes but I just watched one that included an epic Anakin and Dooku duel, not to mention Padme / Anakin feels, so sometimes there is something decent in them.)

Right!? I did not expect all these Anakin feels, I tell you what! The voice acting is SO GOOD though. And yes! Bitchy droll Obi-Wan, who can't be having with all these uncivilized creatures getting in his way! But revealing his oh-so-human side in the episodes with Satine.

Maybe next time around I will watch the Jar Jar eps (I did watch the duology in the sixth season where they team him up with Mace Windu - those were fun), but I found I didn't miss a lot in terms of continuity and I really can't stand the way he talks.

Jar Jar is a crime against cinema. Lucas has so much to answer for.

I adore cranky exchanges between Anakin and Obi and Anakin and Ahsoka. I live for episodes with those three - just the best part of the show for me. And Satine! Such a good match for Obi-Wan. *grumbles* stupid Jedi code.

Yes! I love when the three of them are being snarky and working together! I also enjoyed the episodes that focused on the clones or on Padme, but having those three together is the best.

Not sure if I agree with the Elementary opinion. I've been thinking about dropping the show since the new gal showed up.

i wasn't sold on kitty at first, but i like what the ptb have done with her, and i like her and sherlock's relationship/mentor-menteeship and how it's different from his relationship with joan when he was first training her. also, joan continues to be awesome and i buy her relationship with her current boyfriend much more than i ever bought her and mycroft.

Yes, exactly. I was afraid of how they were going to use her, but so far they've done a good job of making her her own character while also using her to illustrate things about Joan and Sherlock's relationship.

If you like Jane the Virgin (which I adore), I actually think you'll like Selfie. Well, with the exception of the pilot episode, which is pretty boring. But it improves quickly, and by the 4th episode you'll probably be as sad as I am that it's gone.

That's what I've heard. I will have to find time to watch it at some point.
