Okay, following on my post about workshopping a yuletide letter the other day, here is a draft of my "dear yuletide author" letter. Most of this I think would be super helpful if you were my recipient. The only thing I thought could use clarification was the "no animal harm" -- people might wonder if you would include, for example, eating meat in that category. Or fishing -- I've seen people warning for that before. (I mean, I guess if they read your other journal entries they would see that you eat meat. But of course maybe they wouldn't have time to read your non-Yuletide posts, or they might worry that you converted to radical veganism without announcing it on your journal. Unlikely, but conceivable?)

Huh, that seems like quite a leap to make. Hopefully they'd ask the mods to check on it if it seemed really important to their story, because it seems kind of weird to add it to the letter. I mean, what do I say? I have no problem with eating meat; I just don't want to watch the animals get slaughtered on screen.
