So I don't think it would have mattered much if Carey Price had played last night, because wow, Lundqvist was a brick wall. And now the Rangers have a 2-0 lead in the series! SO EXCITING ( Read more... )

When my grandmother died we had to try and figure out what to do with her old furs. Rather tragically we had to get rid of them in the end. No charity shops would take them and wearing fur is so problematic that people just don't buy them any more, at least not in the UK.
Of course, this was in the days before eBay and Google. I hope you have more luck than we did :)

Yeah, we found some high end consignment shops that handle vintage stuff, so hopefully they will take them. I don't think my sister's had time to really investigate though.

when my grandma died she left two fur coats - i think a long one and short one, altho all i remember for sure is one of them had a gorgeous yellow silk lining with some embroidery - i was in high school, it was a long time ago - they weren't in great shape, so my mom had one of them cut down and made into a jacket lining. so she got this nice warm (and internally furry) jacket out of it. but i don't know if that would be an option for you, and if you can find somewhere to sell them it's kind of a moot point.

i've had that writing ambivalence too. it's kind of freaky. i hope it passes and you can get excited about writing again.

Yeah, I think we're just going to contact some high end consignment shops - there are a few in the area that allegedly handle vintage stuff, so if they're in good enough shape to sell, that is likely what'll end up happening.

Thanks. It's slowly coming back, I think. Possibly being under the gun with work writing deadlines helped. We'll see, I guess.
