I love that he admitted that his mentoring of Helena had been poor, because he had no leg to stand on re: killing people last year. Of course, I also love, except I don't because it hurt to watch, how he's screwing up as a mentor for Roy now, in new and exciting ways that hopefully don't get Thea killedPoor Ollie. He's trying to hard, and he means so well, but he's just so bad at it. And he goes ahead and admits he's bad at it! Self-knowledge is the first step, I guess. Yeah, I think that's why it's easy to like him - at least he knows he's terrible? He's trying to be better? And making brand new horrible mistakes! But at least he's trying.
Mostly because CG basically played a father-y role to AA in Joss's Much Ado and having those play lovers would be... weird.
Yeah, that was my first response too. And my second was, 'how much did they want Amy Acker for Skye? And how much more watchable would the show be if she were?' I think the answer to the first question is a lot and the second is not much, though.
