the feeling that Joan is being backgrounded more and more when she is a co-lead

*nods* They keep offering hints that she could have an arc of her own--we see some of her old friends and how out-of-sync she feels with them, we get hints she's not happy to be so wrapped up in her work, gah! we even met her family that one time--and none of these hints are coalescing into anything larger. Can they not handle two characters at once?

Always enjoy your write-ups! M.

Nodding a lot at your analysis of the problems with Agents of SHIELD. Like you say, there are templates that they could follow and, frustratingly, there are those glimpses of what they could build on, but never do. And yet, I still watch (well, technically, I need to catch up on the last episode to air), but I don't know how long I can hope for it to improve.

ETA: Also, am very excited about when the new series of The Good Wife will air over here.

You pretty much summed up all my feelings about TV right now. With the small exception being that I'd grade Elementary a little lower because I'm disappointed they aren't using Captain Gregson more. I like his exasperation with Sherlock, but he seems relegated to always being exposition!man.

I want to send all the producers of SHIELD the Arrow Season two DVDs with a note, "this is how you do characters and action right." But I fear even that won't help much. *sigh*

I fear that if we all wait for someone to tell us when to tune back into Almost Human, it will be too late. But alas, that too is my game plan.

Brooklyn 99 for the win! Even with Andy Samberg punching tendencies. WHO KNEW!?!

i gave up on shield after two episodes because i couldn't care about any of the characters and i thought skye was annoying. i really wanted to like it and i was bummed that it was so flat and boring. at least it sounds like i'm not missing anything.

i actually kinda like almost human - i think michael ealy and karl urban have really nice buddy chemistry and they're fun to watch. and karl is the cutest grumpypants. and i like seeing lili taylor on my tv every week. but the cases can be kind of eh, and the sexbot episode was just... ugh.

but i totally agree with everything you said about sleepy hollow! especially ichabod and the 21st century, and how they could concentrate on abbie a little more. and i'm right there with you on elementary and how they could concentrate on joan a little more. ...i'm kind of sensing a theme.
