light comes low and cool

Last night, L. and I met up for a spur-of-the-moment happy hour and (she's had trouble lately with tendonitis in her elbow and I asked how it was and said if I were going to be injured like that, I'd prefer it was because I was quaffing many drinks which led to her saying, hey, that's a great idea...) we went to the place with the $5 happy hour ( Read more... )

I just saw Iron Man 3 and came here in the hopes that you've seen it already, but alas! Alack! Woe! YOU HAVEN'T.

Also? An ep of Arrow was good? Srsly?

Of course, I'm still watching Supernatural so I'll go sit in a corner and be quiet now.

I'm not seeing IM3 until tomorrow night. *hands*

Arrow has improved a lot. I mean, it is still a superhero show on the CW, with all the limitations that entails, but I would say it has had actual good episodes, especially in the second half of the season, and not just 'good for a superhero show on the CW.'

I occasionally miss SPN, but it still makes me so ragey that I just can't go back.

Okey dokey, I will check back in tonight for your thoughts. Also, I will give Arrow another try. People on Twitter have been saying good things too, but I found it hard to believe.

SPN is much weaker than it used to be-- they've reached that stage where a story repeats its themes and plot points, like the Buffy comics. But S8 has had some really fun moments.

I mean, Stephen Amell is never going to win any awards, but the show has definitely improved and they're making both Slade and Felicity regulars next season so that can only be good.

SPN should have ended after s5.

P.S. did you know there's an anti-Sunil tumblr?!?! How could anyone not like him? I feel like Jerry Seinfeld's mom on his show "How could anyone not like you? That's ridiculous!"

I'm glad my tumblr use is circumscribed enough that I did not know that because that is terrible. Why would that be a thing that exists? Who would do that?

I have no idea! It's inconceivable! I only came across it because I was Googling spectralbovine, in the hopes that he's joined a social thing I actually use. Like Twitter, ahem, Vic, *clears throat*.

But it kind of shows how really truly internet famous he is, right?

I am still not doing Twitter. It is too much.

But yes, he is really internet famous!
