I would like a noir detective AU in every fandom. Hardboiled PIs, leggy redheaded dames! Fedoras and trenchcoats and moody black and white cinematography! Car chases. Belts of whiskey at 2 am after Our Heroes get the shit kicked out of them for getting too close to the truth! Dialogue that rat-a-tats like bullets. Convoluted conspiracies that leave no one unblemished in the end.
Seriously, there are not enough of these in fandom.
