You should be able to just add his Kindle to your account, and then load the book on. I believe you can have up to 5 Kindles on the account, and share books amongst them freely.

There is a "loan out book" option for some Kindle books, but it depends on the book. You should be able to see it in your Amazon.com account... somewhere... /dubiously helpful

Yeah, someone else mentioned that in my DW comments, but unfortunately, this book doesn't allow the option. Sigh. That is the one thing I don't like about ebooks, because I should be able to lend it to someone else after I've paid for it.

This. I hate the non-lendable issue with ebooks. After all, if I didn't want to lend it out, I'd have just gotten it from the library or something.
