I should know better than to read things that are only going to piss me off. Sigh. *closes tab*

Speaking of reading, I keep meaning to talk about this and then getting distracted, but I read Araña: Heart of the Spider and Spider-Man/Araña: The Hunter Revealed this weekend, and I liked it (because ANYA), though the ending felt really rushed. And ( Read more... )

Heh. I really liked Ultimate Spider-man, and Kitty shows up in that and is darling. (Bobby was kind of a tool, though.) But everyone in Ultimates was awful. I think the only ones who didn't come off badly were Tony and Clint.

I know Spider-man's in red and gold for a while in the Avengers...Tony made everybody armor. Not sure if this is a tie-in.

That's exactly what it looked like - I had the passing thought that Tony had redesigned his costume, so that makes sense.

I kind of wish I had never read anything outside of Spidey in the Ult!verse because it really did disturb me more than I thought it would. I never much liked Hank anyway but that pretty much killed any chance of me liking him in ANY universe and I just can't deal with Captain America being THAT big of an asshole. I did like that Peter and Tony had more of a mentor-type relationship, I really did, but Steve being the way he was, especially with Peter, just felt completely wrong.

For some reason, a bunch of the Ultimates issues were included in my ...acquisition of Ultimate Spidey, and I read them because I thought they had some relevance, but mostly what they did was make me hate everyone because they were awful.

*nod nod*

I literally couldn't believe what I was reading when I was reading it.
