So I read Batman & Robin 25, which came out yesterday, and featured the end of the little Jason story arc that was going on.

spoilers; uh, on the off chance you actually read and liked this issue, you probably shouldn't click )

hoods and birds, we make our own fun, comics: batman and robin, you should totally write that

I would read the hell out of that Flashpoint verse Dick/Jason fic.

In thinking about it, I might like it even better if they don't actually ever have sex, a kind of Batverse AU of "Heaven Knows, Mr. Allison." Hmm...

Though I would still totally read one where they have a lot of furtive and acrobatic sex.

Yeah, I agree just because mostly I'd want them to have a connection in this universe where Dick still has his parents and Jason's serene and gets to help people. I feel like even totally smoking hot might be sort of angsty because Jason's breaking vows.

Or we could just say he's Episcopalian - I'm pretty sure they can get married. *g*

Also, I love your icon.

I feel that you would appreciate this! I was working a crossword puzzle yesterday which had the clue "Batpole user" with the answer "Robin." I cackled like a completely inappropriate person for at least five minutes. :D

weirdly out of character for the guy who went out of his way in London during Lost Days to defuse bombs that were going to kill a bunch of innocent people and get other innocent people framed.

That was exactly what was niggling at me about that but I couldn't pinpoint why. On the other hand, it isn't as if Jason is particularly consistant in his behaviour, but then that is the one aspect that has stayed the same. I guess it is possible that the other bombs are duds and he is just counting on Dick to believe the worst of him and leave him free to escape.

Rereading that, I may have a tendancy to put Jason's actions in the best possible light as I love him so much, but still...

It did seem to be a contradiction to me, because from what I've read, he hasn't killed anyone who wasn't a criminal, but apparently he killed some cops somewhere at some point? I remember seeing someone reference that in comments somewhere (could I possible be any vaguer?) but I don't know when that happened so I have kind of ignored it, the way I've ignored him shooting at Damian and whatever else he did in Battle for the Cowl, which I haven't read.

I think it shows the same kind of muddled thinking as taking over the drug trade to finance his crime-fighting activities. It's one thing to set up Hamsterdam (to use a Wire reference); it's another to actively profit off it.
