You ain't no lover but you ain't no dancer Batman: The Animated Series/Iron Man (Movieverse); Pepper/Tony, Bruce, Alfred; pg; 3,345 words Pepper's got a soft spot for scoundrels.
oh, EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You did it! You NAILED it! Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic. I can't speak to the Batman characterization (my Batman knowlege stops at Adam West!) but Tony and Pepper were *wonderful*! And I really really enjoyed the brief glimpse of Dick!
I love seeing Pepper in the face of danger--no false bravado or attempts at heroics, just a deep steadiness and an awesome practicality. I also completely buy her figuring Batman out in this way--and not telling Tony about it. (Speaking of which, she and Tony were wonderful in their level of comfort with eachother. Hearts and flowers.) I also love the conversation with Jarvis at the end--a great and slightly creepy reveal, as well as understatedly emphasizing how uncannily similar Tony and Bruce actually are, with their sarcastic butlers and their genius and their geeky redheads.
Thanks so much! She's definitely awesomely practical, which I think serves her well in her dealings with both Tony and Iron Man. And, of course, Batman. *g*
