Last night, the dentist asked me if I wanted novocaine for my filling. I said, "Well, do you think it's necessary?" And he said, "Yes, because I'll be drilling close to the gum." So I said, "Okay, then ( Read more... )

Personally I am a wussy at the dentist. I give them my terror-face and then they put as much freezing as they can in. Actually they even freeze with gel before they put in the needle.
I had my wisdom tooth out last month, and that was quite the experience...I'm so grateful no one filmed me afterwards!

Don't get your hopes up too high for last night's Glee. :/ I found it exceedingly upsetting. My sister and
I were sitting there im'ing each other "WTF?! WHY WHY WHY?" the whole time (because she found me a site that streams fox online...so i could watch it live)

Yeah, he did the gel before the needle, and wow, it works a lot faster than it used to.

Meh. I had all four out at once, many years ago, and I ended up being out of work for a week because it was just a mess afterwards.

I couldn't tell if she was following Cary or Jason Street

Jason Street, I think! I'm pretty sure it was a continuation of the "Diane thinks something fishy is going on with Will and the new partner and asked Kalinda to investigate" plotline because Kalinda had pictures of Jason Street and Will playing basketball together on the seat beside her when she was following him around.

Okay, that makes sense. And then she heard about the shooting on the police radio. It all makes sense now!

Just watched the Good Wife so fresh in my head: Kalinda was following Blake (aka Jason Street) and it looked like he was picking up a Hooker, and her police scanner was on, so she heard the call about shooting and was able to drive there quickly (I'm assuming she was nearby since she got there so fast ( ... )

Okay, that makes sense.

I have had the half the nose, or half the tongue being numb thing and that really is more uncomfortable than you might think, I agree.

I don't recall having my tongue ever be numb, but the nose thing was just weird.

I've had one cavity in my life - it was on the top groove of my tooth and I had it filled without Novocain. I am TERRIFIED of dentists, and I can attest that it actually didn't hurt at all. However, I still don't like the dentist and after that I got all of my molars sealed top to bottom.

I'm actually not scared of the dentist - a doctor who doesn't weigh you! This is a plus! - but I don't think I would do anything that involved drilling in my mouth without anesthesia.

I had a few shallow cavities the last time I went and opted out of Novocaine. I asked for my dentist's opinion and she didn't think I would need it. It didn't hurt but it wasn't pleasant either. One way or another there's a drill in your mouth, right? I liked that I didn't have to worry about drooling afterward. That was cool. =D

Exactly. I mean, if I had to go to work afterwards or something, I might want to avoid the drooling and the numbness, but I'd rather deal with that than the pain.
