Yesterday, I left work at 12:30 pm, after making sure the board packets were packed up and waiting for FedEx to come and take them away, and after confirming with my bosses that I wouldn't be in today, as there was no need. Boss 1 told me to enjoy the concert, and I was on my way ( Read more... )

Oh man, Metallica & GNR in '92. At Giants Stadium, right? I think they must've played two dates because I don't remember rain.

then again, I was so goddamn high, it might have rained gold coins from a unicorn's butt without me noticing.

It's possible there was more than one show. This was the one where Axl walked off stage in the middle of Knockin' on Heaven's Door (only, like, the third song of the set), because someone threw something at him, and refused to come back out. So they kept us waiting 2 hours in the rain (it wasn't a heavy downpour, but it was definitely rain), and then didn't even play a full set.

Sounds awesome. Bon Jovi was one of my very first concerts way back in the day :-)

we sang the first verse without him and he just stood there smiling

This is one of my favorite things about concerts. This is what makes Motion City such a blast, especially, because the audience has their own part in it. Oh, concerts, how I adore you.

I've never seen Bonjovi live, but would love to! I'm glad You Give Love a Bad Name was awesom as I have a fond personal memory of this song. One of my best friends and I sang our own drunken duet version of it! 1. I should NEVER sing 2. Especially drunk. 3. It really was not meant to be sung as a duet. I love me some Ritchie Sambora!!! I consider myself bisexual with a strong leaning toward females. However, I am very attracted to him and since HBP, Tom Felton. The latter leaves me feeling like a dirty old woman, but that's another issue entirely! Never Say Goodbye should mean something to me since it was my class' song, but since I hated high school...oh well. Glad you had a fantastic time!

Sounds like it was an awesome concert. <3

"Bloon on Blood" is off New Jersey, so it's not new. Great song, though.
